Back injuries are a frequent (and very expensive) on-the-job claim. Take
the proactive approach with crucial examination and screening which is
the key to prevention and back injury reduction. WorkFit takes it to the
next level with thorough back safety education and examination.
WorkFit is the expert in handling blood borne pathogens exposures – all body fluid exposures are handled in the mandated procedural methodology, including thorough and quick testing, source testing, etc. Many employers, including the City of Omaha Police and Fire turn to WorkFit to ensure exposure protocols are met – and all necessary testing is expertly completed.
To ensure that your workers have the physical capacity to perform the job functions safely and without physical harm, WorkFit conducts “Fit for Duty” Exams. Whether returning after a work-related injury or any injury, or to determine why an employee may not be fulfilling the required job duties, Fit for Duty testing is a must to protect your company from devastating losses.
Functional Capacity Evaluations
Functional Capacity Evaluations (“FCE”) provide complete testing for vocational suitability utilizing objective measurements of worker functional abilities and match them to job demands. This type of comprehensive performance based testing is one method to determine ability for work and when needed may provide information beyond basic Work Releases and Fit for Duty Exams.
WorkFit provides immunizations at extremely competitive rates including setting up onsite at your company to administer immunizations by trained and certified injection administrators/healthcare clinicians, including: Tetanus Diphtheria (Pertussis TDap), Hepatitis A & B, Influenza (Flu Shots), Hepatitis B, and H1N1.
Pulmonary function tests (PFTs) is a battery of studies or maneuvers using standardized equipment to measure lung function. WorkFit’s clinicians have completed NIOSH-Approved Spirometry Testing and Respiratory Surveillance Training to conduct testing to determine respiratory functional capability to do the job as well as if needed for the treatment of injury.
At WorkFit, we have the radiology equipment and the registered and trained Radiology Technicians to take complete X-rays to reduce outside radiology costs to your company.
If your employees need to use any respirator with a negative or positive
pressure tight fitting face piece, the employee must be properly fit
tested prior to initial use of the respirator, whenever a different
respirator face piece (size, style, model, or make) is used, and at
least annually thereafter. With WorkFit’s Respiratory Fit Testing, you
can rest assured that your Employees using tight-fitting face piece
respirators pass an appropriate qualitative fit test (QLFT) to meet
required OSHA Respiratory Protection Standards.
